In order to qualify for a permanent residence permit in Denmark, you need to meet 4 supplementary requirements. You can meet one of the four supplementary requirements by passing the Active Citizen Exam.
The Active Citizen Exam is created to show if you have obtained knowledge about Denmark by testing your confidentiality of the Danish society as well as Danish culture and history.
The Active Citizen Exam is a multiple-choice test with 25 questions about the Danish democracy, everyday life as well as Danish culture and history.
The exam takes 30 minutes.
In order to pass the exam, you need to answer correctly in at least 20 out of 25 questions.
The exam is held twice a year in June and December. There is no make-up examination.
You need to bring an ID with a photo issued by a public Danish authority like your residence card, convention or alien`s passport, pass or identity card with a photo issued by a public authority in another country.
