If you are applying for Danish citizenship, you have to pass a special Citizenship Exam to show your knowledge of the Danish society, Danish culture and history.
The Citizenship Exam is a multiple-choice with 40 questions about Danish society, Danish culture and Danish history.
The exam takes 40 minutes.
In order to pass the exam, you need to give the correct answer to at least 32 out of 40 questions.
The exam is held twice a year in June and December. There is no make-up examination.
You need to bring an ID with a photo issued by a public Danish authority like your residence card, convention or alien’s passport, pass or identity card with a photo issued by a public authority in another country.
